Vauxhall Zafira Tourer

Vauxhall’s only seven seater vehicle is the current Zafira, but now Vauxhall will expand its line up in September with the new Zafira Tourer Concept which on launch will rival the new Ford S-MAX people carrier which makes its debut at the Geneva Motor show on the 3rd of March 2011.

The new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer will sit above the current Zafira in the Vauxhall Range and the pictures show exactly how the new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer will look when it rolls of the production line.
The Zafira Tourer takes some inspiration from the Ampera Hybrid, with its boomerang-style headlight cluster and it will also feature Vauxhall’s new single-bar grille.

Flexibility and comfort are key for most people carrier buyers and with the new Zafira it certainly ticks all boxes with no expense being spared. The full length glass roof which flows seamlessly into the panoramic windscreen floods the Zafira Tourer’s cabin with sunlight.

Vauxhall has evolved its Flex7 seating layout as now with a push of a button the middle row centre seat folds and reveals a pair of armrests for the outer seats. Also with this configuration the two seats can then slide sideways to allow for more space and with the extending footrests help enhance the comfort even further. One feature that’s unlikely to make it into production is the pair of Apple iPads mounted on the back of the two front seats.

Under the bonnet of the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer you will find a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine equipped with Vauxhall’s stop-start system. The Zafira Tourer will also feature Vauxhall’s FlexRide adaptive stability technology system which responds instantly to data collected from all the drive components. So with all these features Vauxhall hopes the Zafira Tourer will deliver a new level of driver appeal when it appears in showrooms across the UK.
